Tofu Chocolate Mousse


Serves 4



  • 1 packet Nutrisoy Silken Tofu (300g) or TLY Silken Tofu (300g)

  • ¼ caster sugar + ¼ cup of water

  • 200g dark chocolate, roughly chopped

  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp chilli powder

  • A pinch of salt




  1. In a small pot, combine sugar with water; bring to boil and cook until sugar dissolved, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly.

  2. Melt the chocolate in a large heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

  3. Process the tofu in a food processor until smooth.

  4. Pour the melted chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, chilli powder, salt and orange zest (if you prefer) into the processor and whiz again until combined.

  5. Divide into four 100ml ramekins or small glasses and chill for at least 30 minutes.

  6. If you like, garnish with chocolate shavings before serving.
